The first large dinosaur in the world was discovered on this ridge. Visitors can see many dinosaur tracks (some quite large) and bones imbedded in the rocks while following a 1-mile interpretive trail. A small museum explains the history of this formation.

Colorado State University's learning center is open to all ages for exploring nature either through self-guided tours along the hiking trails or nature programs led by environmental educators. The raptor center is a joint effort of the university and community to rehabilitate and release birds of prey.
